The Foundation is seeking donations to help continue Super Saturday programming at the Nampa Public Library. These free literacy events serve working families, seniors raising their grandchildren and people looking to improve their job prospects. The current federal grant that provides this program soon ends. With dropping revenue, the City is unable to continue Super Saturdays. We can keep these services to the most under-served people going with private donations. For the next 90 days Intermountain Community Bank will match donations. Holiday Authors Reception Dec. 4

The public and authors are invited to mingle at the second annual Holiday Authors Reception at the Nampa Public Library basement from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4. Published authors are invited to bring their books for sale and to sign. The public is invited to shop and visit with authors just in time for the holiday gift shopping season. Snacks, music, cider and help moving books is offered. Sponsored by the Nampa Public Library Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit corporation.The Nampa Library is located at 101 S. 11th Ave. in downtown Nampa. The Nampa Public Library Foundation was created in late 2007 as a vehicle to help raise money for the Nampa Public Library. Community leaders recognized money from city property taxes should pay for essential and quality library services. Donations to the Foundation can fund excellence, or enhanced programs and services for a higher level of enrichment. This will apply for both the current library operations and the future, new library, where there are many opportunities for excellence.
